Dredging in the Upton Dyke area
The Broads Authority has warned us of dredging works which will take place from Monday 20th April to Friday 8th May.
The dredge site stretches along Upton Dyke (TG 40266 12806). The works vessels will be navigating the main river channel to travel along the re-use site, which is located near to Oby Dyke (TG 40874 14397).
The dredging work will involve the use of large works vessels operating in the area. During the dredging works, navigation will remain open, but vessels must exercise great care whilst proceeding past the vicinity of the works. There may be short periods of time when Upton Dyke will be temporarily blocked, please follow the instructions by the staff on site who will inform you when you can pass safely. Please ensure that the works are taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area.
The work will take place during the hours of 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours daily, excluding weekends.
